Abstract

Present study reports a comb goby, Paratrypauchen microcephalus (Bleeker, 1860), from Odisha coast for the first time. The genus Paratypauchen Murdy (2008) is monospecific, with scaleless abdomen and a subdermal or only slightly exposed, smooth frontal crest. The paper deals with the meristic and morphological details of P. microcephalus from Odisha coast in details.
