Abstract

The present paper is based on the identification of the materials present in the National Zoological Collection and the earlier scattered reports to make the study complete. This paper deals with 62 species from 24 genera belonging to 15 tribes of 05 prominent subfamilies of the family Tenebrionidae from Assam and taxonomic details, distribution of the species are given. Five species identified are new records to Assam and one species is a new record to India. Seven species are endemic to Assam.
