An updated checklist of 75 valid species under 36 genera of the Order Blattodea has been complied. The detailed information about the distribution with in India and other countries, synonymy, Type Locality, Materials examined available in Southern Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India has been provided for each species. Previously only 55 species of cockroaches were listed from Tamil Nadu. The present paper update the list with additional 20 species of Blattids from Tamil Nadu based on further literature survey.
