Abstract

Appias cardena (Hewitson, 1861), (Malay Puffin), is reported for the first time from India. Two male specimens of Appias cardena, collected by Dr. B.K Tikader in 1959 from ‘‘North Darjeeling’’ [Sikkim] are found preserved in the National Zoological Collection (Lepidoptera) of Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata.
