Abstract

A juvenile Winged Argonaut, Argonauta hians Lightfoot, 1786 was collected from the Paradip fish landing centre, Odisha. The presence of a brittle brownish white shell indicates that the collected Argonauta Linnaeus, 1758 is a female specimen. This study reports the Argonauta hians for the first time along the northern part of the east coast of India with the first report of the genus Argonauta along Odisha coast.
